The jazz age, like the big band era, lasted only about a decade. But as it passed through the twenties, it was one of the wildest decades in the history of our country. It was the Roaring Twenties, the Age of Ballyhoo, easy money and discontent. The younger generation was on a breathless, energetic spree trying to rewrite all the rules in one brief decade. The jazz age produced more than just flappers, bath tub gin, hip flasks and speakeasies. Nothing caught the spirit of the twenties so expressively as the syncopated beat of jazz, and no one recreates it as well as the West End Jazz Band with genuine hot and sweet dance styles of the 1920s and the 1930s.
